Referral Program

1. You need an account to get a link

A referral link is issued to a registered Convex Lake account. You cannot issue one anonymously or from a shared address: register a free account, and your personal link is ready straight away.

• Registration is free and takes a moment — sign up with email or with Google.
• Your link is https://convexlake.com/?ref=followed by your own eight-character code.
• The code never changes. It stays the same for as long as you have the account, so a link you have already shared keeps working.
• Existing accounts already have a link — you do not need to register again or start a new account.
• Open your referral page while signed in to see the link, copy it, and watch your referrals.

2. What the person you refer receives

• 10% off their first paid purchase with a card, applied automatically at checkout when they arrive through your link.
• The discount applies to a first purchase only. It does not carry over to later purchases.
• They must be a new customer. If an account already exists, signing up through a referral link does not attach the referral to it.

3. What you receive

• 10% off each of your own card purchases for every referred user who currently has paid access.
• The reward repeats: each paying referral adds another 10%, up to a cap of 50% (five paying referrals at once).
• The discount lasts while they keep paid access and drops when their access lapses.
• Rewards are a reduction in price, not cash, credit or a payout. They cannot be exchanged, transferred or refunded.

4. Conditions of the program

• A referral starts counting at the referred user's first successful payment, not at sign-up. Someone who registers and never pays earns no reward.
• Self-referral is not allowed. You cannot refer yourself, a second account you own, or anyone in your own household or organisation.
• Each new customer can be referred by one person only, and the first qualifying link wins.
• Referral discounts are applied as a single coupon at checkout and never stack with another coupon, promo or academic discount.
• The discount applies to card purchases. Purchases paid in cryptocurrency count towards keeping a referral active, but the price of those purchases is not reduced.
• Do not post referral links in a way that spam or misleads, and do not buy referrals or run incentivised traffic. We may withdraw links, rewards and discounts from accounts that abuse the program.
• We can change or end the program, and adjust the discounts, at any time. Discounts already applied to a completed purchase are not affected.

5. How to start referring

Register or sign in, open your referral page, copy your link and share it. Anyone who creates an account through that link and makes a paid purchase becomes one of your referrals, and you can see the current discount it gives you on the same page.
